A tense standoff between protesters and police continues downtown with officers and Freddie Gray demonstrators. Officers in riot gear with batons are pushing the crowd back. Some protesters have run toward the line of officers, which also includes several mounted officers. At least three people were taken into custody.

Michael J. LaChance, 69, of Hannibal, passed away on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at 12:30 a.m. at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, Ill.

Weather permitting, Missouri Department of Transportation crews will be completing bridge work on Route D, 1.2 miles west of Highway 19, in Ralls County on April 27- 30. There will be one lane of traffic from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m at Lick Creek Bridge.
