A 49-year-old northeast Missouri man has pleaded not guilty to several charges connected to allegations that he killed a neighbor, dismembered the body and tossed the victim’s arms at bystanders.
Paul R. Potter pleaded not guilty this week in Adair County court to charges including first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the January death of 74-year-old Willis Edward Meredith at a Kirksville apartment complex.

The theft involved farm equipment reported stolen from Sunnyside Lane in rural Hannibal in October 2011.
