It started with a blind date ...

Mr. and Mrs. Everette Miller of New London will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on July 30, 2009. They began their long life journey together on a blind date. Everette and Yvonne were united in marriage at the home of minister, Everett Turner. Attendants were Carl Miller and Patsy Schwanke (Miller.)
They are the parents of 12 children, Rita Pursifull, the late Wayne Miller (Connie), Marvin Miller (Vicki), Gary Miller (Lori), Paula Nelson (John), Darrell Miller, and Dori Hudson (Jack), all of New London, the late Lowell Miller (Debbie), and Bonnie Richards (Alvin) of Bowling Green; the late Cheryl Butler (Whimpy) of Frankford, and Laura Miller of O’Fallon.
One infant daughter was deceased at birth.
They also have 21 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and seven step great-grandchildren.
Everette retired from Paragon Plastics of Palmyra in November 2000 after 13 years of service. He was previously employed at Standard Printing in Hannibal from 1963-1987. Yvonne retired from Cerfs Factory in New London in May 1992 after 15 years of service.
There will be an open house celebration from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 1, 2009, at the home of their daughter, Dori Hudson, at 19396 Eastside Drive, New London. A light lunch and refreshments will be served.
Mr. and Mrs. Everette Miller enjoy spending time with all of their children, grandchildren and family.
The couple requests no gifts. All family and friends are invited to help them celebrate their 60th anniversary.
