Audrey Quilling Dent and James Dent, Emerson, Mo., are celebrating their 40th wedding anniversary from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 26, 2011, at the Emerson Community Center with a party hosted by their children.
The couple was married Nov. 26, 1971, at the home of Viola Dent in rural Palmyra, Mo. Rev. William Knowles officiated and music was provided by Millie Knowles. Anita Quilling and Duane Carroll served as attendants.
Audrey is the daughter of the late Elizabeth and Bill Quilling. James is the son of the late Viola Dent and Ernest Dent.
Their children are Dan Wilson, Pontiac, Ill., Patrick Wilson, Nashville, Tenn., James and Carol Dent, Palmyra, Michele Dent, Palmyra, Kelly and Erin Wilson, Palmyra, Amanda Dent, Memphis, Tenn., and Becky and Jack Lyons, Pevely, Mo. They have 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
James is a retired truck driver and Audrey is a retired nurse.
