A Hawk Point man suffered minor injuries Thursday night in Lincoln County after dozing off at the wheel.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 7:15 p.m. on Highway A, west of White Road.
A 2003 Chevrolet S10 was being driven west by 18-year-old Jesse Lee of Hawk Point. Reportedly, Lee fell asleep. When the vehicle traveled off the right side of the road, Lee over-corrected, causing the pickup to travel off the left side of the road where it struck an embankment and overturned.
Lee, who was not wearing a safety device at the time of the accident, was taken to St. Joseph West Hospital by ambulance.
