A teen-ager suffered moderate injuries in a one-vehicle accident Tuesday night in Monroe County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 9:30 p.m. on Route C, 0.6 of a mile south of U.S. 24. A 2003 Ford Taurus driven by 17-year-old Charles Miles of Centralia was southbound when Miles failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle ran off the road and overturned.
Miles, who was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident, was transported by private vehicle to Boone Hospital in Columbia.
