Tractor-trailer accident leaves St. Louis man injured

A St. Louis man suffered minor injuries Tuesday night in a one-vehicle accident in Shelby County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 11 a.m. on U.S. 36, 200 feet east of Missouri 151 at Clarence. A 2000 Freightliner was being driven eastbound by Abdullahi Adem of St. Louis. Reportedly the vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign. While the driver attempted to make the turn the load shifted, causing the tractor and tailer to overturn.
Adem, who was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident, was transported to Samaritan Hospital in Macon by Salt River EMS.
