A Quincy, Ill., man suffered moderate injuries when his motorcycle struck a deer Friday morning in Marion County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened at 6 a.m. on Route C, five miles west of Palmyra. Reportedly, 63-year-old Karl Mickelson was westbound on a 2006 Harley Davidson motorcycle when he struck a deer. The motorcycle ran off the road and Mickelson was thrown from the vehicle.
Michelson was transported by private vehicle to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
