New London, MO —

Tanya L. Gerard, 31, of Hannibal, and Jim R. Current, 58, of New London, suffered minor injuries in a three-vehicle collision at 1:39 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7, on U.S. 61 at Route A at New London. Both were taken by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol in Macon reported the collision occurred when Gerard was driving an eastbound 1994 Pontiac and attempted to cross the road, driving into the path of a northbound 2003 Suzuki driven by Tiffany L. Sykes, 26, of Troy.
The Gerard car was then pushed into a stopped westbound 1995 Plymouth driven by Current.
Sykes was not injured. Gerard was ticketed for failure to yield.
