A Hawk Point woman on a motorcycle suffered moderate injuries after swerving to miss a dog in the roadway on Thursday evening in Lincoln County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 6:20 p.m. on Scott Road, south of Route MM. Donna Childers, 49, was driving a 1995 Harley Davidson Ultra Classic southbound on Scott Road when a dog entered the roadway. Childers was ejected from the motorcycle which overturned.
Childers was taken to St. Joe’s West Hospital by Lincoln County Ambulance.
