Two Hannibal women were injured Wednesday morning in a one-vehicle accident in Ralls County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash happened at 5:15 a.m. on Route V, three miles east of New London. A 2005 Ford driven by Taryn Marquardt, 20, was westbound when the vehicle ran off the road and struck a tree.
Marquardt, who was not wearing a safety device at the time of the accident, suffered moderate injuries. A passenger in the vehicle, 18-year-old Angela Keith, who also was not wearing a safety device, was left with minor injuries.
Both women were transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital by Marion County Ambulance.
