Accident sends two Paris residents to hospital

A Paris man and child were injured when their vehicle struck the rear of another vehicle.
The accident occurred at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday on Missouri 15 at Bodine Street in Paris, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. A 1997 Dodge driven by 19-year-old Steven Adams of Paris was stopped in the roadway waiting to make a left-hand turn when it was struck in the rear by a northbound 1990 Chevrolet drive by 35-year-old Eric Washburn of Paris.
Washburn and a passenger, 5-year-old Rebekah Washburn, both suffered moderate injuries. Neither was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident. Both were taken by Monroe County Ambulance to Audrain Medical Center in Mexico, Mo.
