Two injured in collision

Both drivers were injured in a collision at 6 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, on state Highway 6 in Ewing, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol in Macon.
James R. Ancell, 59, of Hannibal, suffered serious injuries, and Wilma I. Chipman, 77, of Ewing, had moderate injuries. Ancell was taken by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital. Chipman went by ambulance to Blessing Hospital, Quincy, Ill.
Officers said Chipman was driving an eastbound 2004 Chevrolet and was turning onto Missouri 6. Ancell was driving a westbound 2001 Buick on 6. The cars collided on the center line and stopped on the road.
