Two go to hospital after truck hits cow

A wandering cow is being blamed for an accident that sent two people to the hospital Sunday night in Monroe County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident happened on Route AA, three miles west of Paris at 9:55 p.m. A 1999 Dodge truck was being driven east by Matthew Martin, 23, of Benton City. The accident occurred when the truck struck a cow that had entered the roadway.
Suffering moderate injuries in the mishap were Casandra Gulick, 15, of Madison and Ginger Jones, 42, of Centralia, who were passengers. They were transported by Monroe County Ambulance to Audrain County Medical Center.
