Lincoln County, MO —
A Rolla woman was left with moderate injuries following an accident Tuesday afternoon in Lincoln County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 2:20 p.m. on Missouri 47, west of Thornhill Cemetery Road. Reportedly, a 2004 Saturn Ion, driven by 61-year-old Ruth Finney of Rolla, was stopped in traffic waiting for a vehicle to make a left-hand turn when a 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt driven by 58-year-old Ricky Moesch struck the Finney vehicle from behind. According to the MSHP report, the accident occurred when Moesch fell asleep.
Finney, who was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident, was taken by Lincoln County Ambulance to Lincoln County Medical Center.
