One hurt in four-vehicle accident

One person suffered minor injuries in a four-vehicle accident in Lincoln County Tuesday afternoon.
The mishap happened at 5:15 p.m. on Missouri 47, 0.1 of a mile east of Chantilly Road, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Three vehicles were stopped in traffic, waiting for a vehicle in front of them to make a left-hand turn, when a 1991 Plymouth Acclaim driven by 39-year-old Shannon Kuykendall of Troy skidded into the rear of a 1996 Chevrolet pickup truck operated by 29-year-old Kurtis Cobert of Winfield, which started a chain-reaction collision that also involved two other vehicles.
Kuykendall, who was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident, was transported to Lincoln County Medical Center by Lincoln County Ambulance.
