Hannibal, MO —

Hailey Key, 17, of Hannibal, was the only person injured in a four-vehicle accident Friday afternoon, May 9, in downtown Hannibal.
She was taken by ambulance to Hannibal Regional Hospital for injuries suffered in a rear-end collision at 3:33 p.m. in the northbound lane of state Highway 79 at Bird Street.
None of the drivers reported injuries, according to the Hannibal Police Department.
Key was a passenger in a 2002 Dodge Neon driven by Travis Gerard of Hannibal.
Officers reported the collision began when Kayla Koester of Hannibal was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado and rear-ended Gerard’s car.
Gerard’s car then rear-ended a 1993 Buick Regal driven by Larry Woodworth of Loraine, Ill., which rear-ended a 1996 Buick Regal driven by Alice Wisdom of Hannibal.
The police reported Koester was ticketed for following too closely.
