Rear-end collision leaves Center man injured

A two-vehicle accident resulted in injuries for a Center man Monday evening in Ralls County.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 7:19 p.m. on Missouri 19, four miles north of Center. A 1997 Ford Escort and 2008 Dodge Avenger were both traveling southbound when the Avenger, driven by 51-year-old Debra Pursifull of Vandalia slowed to make a left-hand turn. The Escort, driven by 54-year-old Dennis White of Center, struck the rear of the Avenger.
White, who was wearing a safety device at the time of the accident, was transported to Hannibal Regional Hospital by Ralls County Ambulance.
