HANNIBAL — Lights are being hung and trees are being put up — signaling that the Christmas season is fast approaching.

It's time to bundle up those coats and bring out an unwrapped new toy to give Santa during the annual Christmas Parade hosted by the Hannibal Jaycees on Saturday, Dec. 7. The 2019 theme is Disney Winter Wonderland. Participants can register the day of the parade at the Save-a-Lot Parking lot beginning at 5 p.m. or online at

The Hannibal Jaycees ask to be the only Santa in the parade. The cost is a new unwrapped toy per vehicle to be collected from Santa and given to the local Toys for Tots Organization.

The parade line up is at 5 p.m. and starts at 6 p.m. going down Broadway and turning left on Main Street. More information is available by contacting Sara Rothweiler at 573-603-4184 or emailing

Please help the Hannibal Jaycees provide Christmas gifts for those children who might not get one, because no child should go without celebrating Christmas.
