HANNIBAL | HOMEBANK, its employees and friends, recently made donations totaling $10,418.30 to area organizations that advocate for the best outcomes for children in the court system.
Checks for $4,709.15 were presented to the Court Appointed Special Advocates program of Douglass Community Services in Hannibal, which also serves children in Palmyra, and the Adams County CASA program in Quincy, Ill. Funds will be used to train additional volunteers. A $1,000 check will be presented to a similar organization in Centralia, where HOMEBANK has a resource banking center.
Employees raised the money for the past six months through jeans days, special lunches and activities, auctions and a trivia night. Earlier this year, HOMEBANK employees made $10,000 worth of donations to Missouri and Illinois Honor Flight programs.
