Amanda Lewis to perform at Central Methodist

Amanda Lewis, of Palmyra, will play clarinet in the upcoming University Band Concert at 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 23, in the Linn Memorial United Methodist Church in Fayette. She will join more than 50 musicians for the performance.

FAYETTE, Mo. | Amanda Lewis of Palmyra, Mo., will be one of more than 50 musicians to take the stage in the upcoming University Band Concert at Central Methodist University.

Linn Memorial United Methodist Church will host the performance at 4 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 23. The free concert on the Fayette campus will be open to the public.

Professor Skip Vandelicht will conduct the band, with Steve Litwiller serving as guest conductor for the concert. Litwiller will conduct two selections on the program, “Windgate Festival” by Claude T. Smith and “Choreography” by Robert Sheldon.

Also on the program for the afternoon will be “Coat of Arms” by George Kenny, “Sure on This Shining Night” by Samuel Barber (arranged by Richard Saucedo), “Songs of Old Kentucky” by Brant Karrick, and “Memor Vita!” by Brant Karrick.
